About WOW
How did Wildflowers of Wisdom come about? To be utterly honest, I thought the name I came up with was stupid or cheesy in the beginning, like maybe it wasn't good enough; I didn't think it fit the "blogger world" (whatever that means). It took time but it has grown on me so much. The significance has quickly become apparent. Wildflowers became my symbol because I thought that it was interesting how they grow in unusual circumstances. They don't necessarily need to be planted in the center of an illustrious garden; or warped around the porch of a beautiful family home. Sometimes, wildflowers grow in mess. They flourish in neglected wooded areas, and in the midst of abandoned homes some wouldn't dare go near. That's how I believe we as people are. It's just proof of the fact that God can turn a negative situation, ugly circumstances, dysfunction, simply mess into something overwhelmingly beautiful.I am so proud to finally be releasing my work for everyone to see.Blogging has been no easy feat for me. It has literally taken me approximately two and half years to get to this point. At times, I doubted whether or not I'd actually do it. I had to really dig deep within to figure out what I wanted Wildflowers of Wisdom to embody. What symbolization should I represent? I literally thought as far as to which flowers represent wisdom (purple iris based on Google) and had to decide whether or not that would become the logo and symbol for WOW.Creating content came with another challenge. This is where I had to go back to some dark places, and pull some things from a place of raw emotion. Sometimes, thinking back, I cried, or became sad. I remembered how I felt in those very moments I speak about in some posts. Then I quickly remember, I've been victorious over any obstacle. And I understand that through vulnerability comes strength. And my story may be the very beginning of a breakthrough for someone else.
